Fix: BLACK Says Its Game Data Is Missing on Android

The missing-data message in the BLACK Android launcher, solved: ISO placement, the Black folder path, renamed files, and the Import game shortcut.

It is the most common message in this port and the most fixable: the launcher opens, looks for its game, and reports the data missing. Work through this page in order; the cause is in the first three checks for almost every player of the Black Android port.

Check one: the folder

The launcher expects its data in the Black folder at /storage/emulated/0/Black. Open the launcher once and it creates that folder itself. If you placed the ISO before ever launching the app, or in a folder your file manager helpfully named something similar, the launcher is looking at an empty room. Confirm the folder exists at exactly that path, with exactly that name, capital B. The full reasoning behind the two-file system is in our ISO explainer.

Check two: the file's name

Browsers and download managers sometimes rename large files, appending a number or a second extension. The launcher looks for its data by name, and a file called anything else is invisible to it, however correct its contents. Rename the file back to exactly the name it had on the download page, or skip names entirely with check four. While you are looking at the file, confirm its size: 1,686,306,816 bytes. A smaller file is a cut-short download, and no placement trick makes a partial Black game ISO complete; fetch it again on Wi-Fi.

Check three: permissions

Recent Android versions gate storage access per app. If the launcher was denied file access, it cannot see a correctly placed ISO. Open system settings, find the launcher in your apps list, and grant the storage or files permission it requests. Then fully close and reopen the app; launchers check for their data at start-up, not continuously.

Check four: Import game

The shortcut that ends most cases: open the launcher, choose Import game, and select the ISO in the file picker wherever it currently lives. The launcher registers that exact file, which sidesteps folder paths and names at once. This is the method we now recommend first to anyone uncomfortable with file managers, and it is step three of our install guide. If the message survives all four checks with a verified full-size file, the remaining suspects are a corrupted download that reports a false size, answered by a fresh download, or a device storage fault, which will misbehave for other apps too. Either way, this Black APK setup is a two-file puzzle with a short list of wrong answers, and you have now checked all of them.

Why this message is good news

Read the missing-data message as a diagnosis rather than a failure: it means the launcher installed correctly, opened correctly, and went looking for its partner file in the right place. Everything upstream of that message works. What remains is one file, in one folder, with one name, and this Black game ISO setup has been completed by thousands of players with exactly the checks above, usually inside five minutes.

Quick Answers

Where exactly does the ISO go?

/storage/emulated/0/Black. Open the launcher once and it creates the folder; the ISO sits inside it with its original downloaded name.

My ISO is in the folder but the message persists. Why?

Usually the name: a browser may have appended a number or extension. Rename it back, or use Import game and pick the file directly.

Does Import game copy the file?

It registers the file where it sits, so keep the ISO where it is after importing rather than tidying it away.
